In warm weather, our full service garden patio offers an incredible floral setting and all you have to do is stand up to take in views of Mt. Baker and Haro Strait. Anyway you look at it, all year round, Bill Mattick's Restaurant is your ideal "meeting place" in Cordova Bay.

Plan your next party, reception or special occasion at Bill Mattick's Restaurant and relax and enjoy one of our Chef's culinary creations.

We can accommodate groups of up to 50 people from April 1 to October 15 in our dining room or outside on our spacious garden patio. Larger groups can be accomodated between Oct. 16 and March 31. Our menu options and ideas can be tailor made to make your function a success!

HISTORY OF MATTICK'S

The story behind Bill Mattick

Bill Mattick began growing Bill Mattick photo vegetables and flowers on the property during the mid 40s. His farm prospered and grew to the point where he began exporting daffodils and tulips to Eastern Canada, shipping them by chartered aircraft. Mattick’s talents and interests went beyond farming. He was a consummate showman. He built the market and tea garden in the late 1950s and started the golfing tradition on the property when he built the popular par 3 course and old driving range in 1956. Mattick was an accomplished golfer himself despite the fact that he had lost his left hand in a farming accident during childhood.

Mattick sold the farm in the late ‘60s and for the next several years until his death in 1985, Mattick commuted the short distance between his home and his office on the property. His working day started punctually at 9:00 am with a “Black Russian” and a freshly rolled cigarette. Were he alive today, Mattick would probably not feel quite right in the restaurant that bears his name: too fancy, too big, no horse skins. We will do our best to make him comfortable, by filling the place with daffodils each Spring, by featuring a Black Russian in our liquor menu, and by continuing to tell the story of the man who built Mattick’s Farm.
