First Blog of the New Year

It’s a new year here at Cordova Bay Golf Course and as always we are setting new goals to improve in 2012.

For starters we’re diving head first into the communications revolution.  We work very hard to provide the best conditions and the best customer service of any golf course around. We’ve always figured that word about that kind of dedication gets around and, thanks to you, word has traveled far and wide.

A big part of our success has been the culture and relationships we enjoy with our customers. The new technologies out there nowadays allow us to take this concept one step further. We can expand those relationships with people even when they’re not at the course.  Our video blogs, last year, were a great example of this.  We had comments and responses from people in less fortunate parts of the country where it’s white for 6 months of the year.  They look forward, every year, to the one or two trips they take to Victoria to play golf with us.  Turns out that they are as fanatical Cordova Bay fans as those who get to play here every week.

Those of you who are already web-savvy know that we have a Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cordovabay). This year we’re going to use it to create a place to talk about all things Cordova Bay.  There’ll be pictures, videos, discussions and just about anything else that will let us explore our love of the golf course with anybody that wants to explore with us.  If you get a chance slide on by and give us a thumbs up like – we’re not above a little vanity and it’s nice to know that so many people care.

Of course Facebook isn’t only for interacting with Cordova Bay – it’s revolutionized keeping in touch with friends and family all over the world.  If you’ve always been meaning to set up an account but haven’t had a chance I’ve added a few videos here to show you how to set up an account, how to secure Facebook so that only the information you want is available to others and how to use Facebook to keep in touch with friends, family and, of course, Cordova Bay Golf Course.
